First edition of the second and final volume, separately published, of Fornier's work on the "res quotidianae" ("daily matters", i.e., familiar or common matters or points of civil law). Includes much material on women's legal sphere, such as on their education (5.21), obstetrics (6.19), their role as "mater castrorum" and "in castris comes" (4.50), separate institutions and buildings for the various sexes (6.10), etc. The first volume, containing the first three parts, had appeared in 1600. Fornier (Fournier, Radulphus Fornerius, 1562-1627) served as professor of law at the university of Orleans.

First and last leaves a little brownstained, otherwise well preserved. Provenance: title-page has handwritten ownership of the Silesian jurist Johann Georg v. Funken (d. 1691), imperial councillor, law professor and rector of the university of Prague. Crowned and monogrammed Fideicommissum stamp; flyleaf is marked "No. 1028 Fideic."
