I would like to hear Schumann quartets again. Recently I remembered the beginning of one quartet - the introduction - and was quite delighted. Unfortunately, two floors below my rooms someone is playing the piano & I am much disturbed by the miserable plunking (mostly Beethoven). Oddly, it sometimes almost prevents me from breathing […]" (transl.).
