German translation of the famous "Catechisme de Montpellier" written by Francois-Aimé Pouget at the instigation of Charles Joachim Colbert (1667-1738), bishop of Montpellier. The copy at hand includes all three parts of the work as well as the catechism for older and younger children. The writings of Colbert, a fervent Jansenist, were condemned by Rome; the present edition is authorized by the Catholic church.
