Decorative neo-rococo silk fan, in imitation of the models produced in the late 18th century, integrating the pastoral themes popular in that age: a noble party within a idyllic setting, with a courtship scene providing the central motif, framed by floral garlands in the rococo style.
Occasional tiny tears to silk folds; some slight browning; traces of glue on reverse of the rack, some of the paper backing defective. The rods are very wide near the lower end, with grid-like apertures, while the upper end is narrow and shows floral decorations.
